It’s that time of year again. Mistletoe, pies and… programming.
We’ve spent the past few weeks bringing our own websites up to date, so that we can begin the new year with a new look that showcases all of the new techniques we’ve learned in 2019.
When you’re capable of making anything and everything, figuring out exactly what to make can be difficult.
We run fast, but knowing which direction to run in can be a serious problem for creatives. To make things worse, we’re perfectionists, and we are our own worst critics.
After a few false starts, and many hours written off through experimentation, we finally arrived at a consensus which seemed to suit where, and who we are right now.
There’s two flavors of the redesign, the 3D website and our new 2D site (which is the one you’re looking at right now).
For the 3D site, we decided to do something that reflects where we live, so we made an interactive fictional version of our home here on Carova beach.
For the 2D site where the blog lives, we opted for a minimal design-led approach using GSAP with black and white elements to let our shocking magenta & cyan logo stand out.
What do you think of the new look? Let us know by sending a message to our team! If you’d like us to help redesign your own website in the new year or any time in 2020 talk to us.
